As part of our “Inspiring Working Mums” series, Emma Isaacs shares her advice to help other working Mums.
Emma Isaacs: Author, Founder and Global CEO, Business Chicks.
My best advice for your career is …
Understand yourself enough to understand your strengths. Doing what you’re good at each day will make life and your career so much more enjoyable. I’ve always found it doesn’t really matter the industry or the product you’re in – as long as you’re engaged in work that energises you and that you’re innately good at, you’ll do well and achieve a flourishing career.
My most satisfying thing about being a Mum is …
Watching my children be kind to others. Don’t get me wrong – they are uncontrollable most of the time, but deep down they are growing into kind, considerate, thoughtful humans and that’s the most important thing to me.
My best advice for managing the juggle of work and family is …
Go easy on yourself and stress less. We’re all doing the best we can do!
