As part of our “Inspiring Working Mums” series, Melanie Hogan shares her advice to help other working Mums.
Melanie Hogan, Award winning Film Director and Producer.
My best advice for your career is …
Follow your intuition in choosing your career path. Doing what you love allows you to find the energy to juggle work and family life.
My most satisfying thing about being a Mum is …
Seeing your children contribute to the community around them with goodwill and happiness.
My best advice for managing the juggle of work and family is …
See spending time with your children as “your time”. Some people compartmentalise their life. They see the week made up of time for work, time for my family, time for housework etc and then when all that is done, there is time for yourself.
But if you see time “with the family” as “time for yourself” sometimes, then you can really free up your week and feel a greater sense of peace.
