As part of our “Inspiring Working Mums” series, Diane Westaway shares her advice to help other working Mums.
Diane Westaway, CEO and Founder Wild Women on Top | Coastrek.
My best advice for your career is …
Prioritise self care because it you’re not healthy and happy, the rest of the family simply can’t be. And integrate movement into life with daily habits like walking and talking.
My most satisfying thing about being a Mum is …
If you’re good at what you do and work hard, you’ll always have a career when you want it. Don’t flog yourself in search of more stuff or a bigger house. Just love everyday you get to spend empowering and nurturing your kids.
My best advice for managing the juggle of work and family is …
Integrate movement and family activities into every day. Take the kids walking, riding, jumping on the bed and indulge in active play and don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s all small stuff.
